Netroots Wisconsin is a non-partisan loose group of bloggers, citizen journalists, and others doing progressive work on the Internet. We have held a conference, Netroots Wisconsin 2010 on Sept. 25, 2010, and intend to continue having meetings and conferences as a regional conference of Netroots Nation. More to come.
I've gotten a few questions recently about Netroots Wisconsin and what is up --
The answer is that we're re-grouping a little, and trying to forge some plans for the future. At the moment, this will revolve around having some informal get-togethers in various parts of the state for Wisconsin netroots people.
We will be working on having a get-together at Netroots Naiton, which will more or less be an informal meet and greet, and we will try to proceed from there.
In the meantime - if you have any ideas or suggestions, we'd be happy to hear them.
I'm here being the token cheesehead at Netroots Minnesota today. There' be more links, pictures, info, etc. here some time soon. Good discussions, good panels.
There's a new Resource directory on the site. It contains links to resources that bloggers and other netroots types might find useful - it's on the menu above. I welcome any entries by other netrootsers --- just log in to the site and you can create your own resources for the list.
This is a group for technological issues in netroots work in Wisconsin. Discussion of blogging platforms, what will be going on with the Netroots Wisconsin site, etc.
We're thrilled to announce that Netroots Nation 2011 will take place in Minneapolis, Minnesota June 16-19, 2011.
As Sen. Al Franken said in Las Vegas: "It's a little bit less glitzy and glamorous than Las Vegas, but it's also a little bit less hot. It's a place with great fishing, beautiful scenery and tons of energetic progressives ready to show Netroots Nation a good time."
We held the first ever Netroots Minnesota last November to start an important conversation about shaping the progressive agenda. Since then, we put our ideas into action during the legislative session and throughout the hotly contested gubernatorial election.
I'm proud to say that because of the hard work of the progressive community, we're going to seat the first progressive governor of Minnesota in over twenty years.
